![]() ![]() Many of you might not be aware of this but the Microsoft Casual Games (MCG) team has made some changes with the servers as it pertains to the casual games on Windows 8.1. On December 14, 2020, many of these games disappeared from the Store for Windows 8.1 and app libraries as well, making them unsearchable and unable to be reinstalled on Windows 8.1. See information on that in the link below: Furthermore, the special site used to obtain links for the games can no longer find them. Nevertheless, not all of the games have gotten the axe. Type cmd in Windows Search box > Right click on Command Prompt > Run As Administrator > Type WSreset.exe and click Enter > Reboot your. ![]() Reset Windows Store through Command Prompt. A few of them have seemed to have dodged it for the time being. Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & security > Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down to the bottom > Click Windows Store Apps > Click Run the Troubleshooter. But I want to let you know the latest on these changes. Please notify the TA personnel about this so that the necessary updates can be made. The Windows 8.1 versions of the following games are unsearchable in the Windows 8.1 Store, cannot be reinstalled from the app library on Windows 8.1, and cannot be retrieved by the special site: The changes made by the MCG team has also impacted early Windows 10 versions of the games as well. * - Windows Phone 8.1 and early Windows 10 versions of these games are also gone from the Store and the site. Only the ones for Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299) are available. An early Windows 10 version of Microsoft Mahjong runs on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. Installers will need to be obtained from folks who have them. The special site also finds links for Windows Phone apps but the downloaded files are not saved as XAP files. ![]()
